Kenny Valentine Benefit
February 11, 2012
Starts at 3 PM - Live music at 6 PM
Valley Inn Bar & Grill
On November 15th, 2011 Kenny Valentine, Jr. was diagnosed with a rare gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST). These types of tumors can be malignant or benign. Unfortunately, in Kenny's case the tumor is cancerous and too large to operate on at this time. Kenny is currently taking a chemotherapy drug called Gleevec, which will hopefully shrink the tumor so it can be removed. In the meantime, Kenny is unable to work, waiting for disability and his medical bills are unmanageable.
In order to help ease the cost and stress associated with medical and other expenses, there will be a benefit held for Kenny at Valley Inn Bar & Grill on February 11, 2012 starting at 3 PM. The benefit will include a silent auction, dinner, and live music. Dinner will be served and silent auction held throughout the benefit with raffle drawing and live music starting at 6 PM. Tickets will be sold for the benefit prior to February 11th, 2011 and will include silent auction entry, dinner and live music. There will also be a raffle drawing with several items including a new 32" Flat Screen TV.
Donations for silent auctions and raffle items will be appreciated, as well as monetary donations. Tips earned by servers, volunteers and bartenders during this event will be donated to Kenny's benefit fund. Please contact the Valley Inn Bar & Grill @ (563) 514-1695 between the hours of 11 AM and 6 PM for donation information.
